About United Publishing Houses

We believe good books change how people think, and that many people carry a book of their own that deserves to be written.

What we do today

BookTalk is our YouTube show. Each episode takes one book: a bestseller, a classic, a Nobel Prize winner, a rare find. It explains what the book says, why it matters and whether it's worth your time.

The UPH newsletter arrives on the 1st and 15th of each month with book recommendations, new videos and news from UPH.

Where we're going

Reading is where it starts. Over time, we want UPH to help people along the whole path: learn, think, write, publish, sell, and stay in readers' minds.

That means a bookstore, and tools and help for people who want to write and publish. None of that is open yet. When it is, newsletter readers will hear first.

Founder

Xukun Ji in her home library

Xukun Ji is the founder and owner of United Publishing Houses and the host of BookTalk.

She lives in Denmark and works in Chinese, Danish and English. She built UPH as one place where people who know their subject can learn, think, write, publish and sell their books, and stay close to the readers who value them.

Who runs UPH

United Publishing Houses is run by Oakbridge Consulting & Media ApS, a Danish company.

UPH is English-only for now.
